Considerations to Avoid Costly Therapy for Back Pain

There are three significant dysfunctions in our community

  1. Metabolic
  2. Musculoskeletal
  3. Psychological

Musculoskeletal dysfunction is costing an absolute fortune. People are running manual handling programs teaching people how to lift correctly when they aren’t strong enough to tap a keyboard or push a pen, let alone lift anything heavier than a feather off the floor!

Most people don’t have a strength and flexibility training program. Most people I see haven’t done a situp or a press-up for 20 years or more. They’re completely out of touch with their body.

Most people are overweight. It is a significant contributor to decreased mobility and increased pressure on joints.

You can begin to understand better the situation you’re in if you can:-

    1. Make the distinction between dysfunctions and injuries.

Injuries are generated externally; things fall on people, they fall over things, and they breathe in toxic fumes … You can manage this risk by making your working environment safer, watching your step, and avoiding hazards …

Dysfunctions are generated internally by lifestyle neglect. You can manage this risk by becoming fitter, healthier, stronger, and more flexible.

MUSCULOSKELETAL DYSFUNCTION

The cause? Motion starvation. Very few people have a strength and flexibility training program that aligns their bodies well.

The treatment? Motion – a strength and flexibility program that gets bones back into alignment. The pain goes away. People feel better. The mood becomes elevated. Expenses go down. Productivity improves.

    1. Measure the risk. Our experience suggests that very few musculoskeletal incidents come from ‘out of the blue’. Very few camel’s backs are broken by straws!

If you measure strength, flexibility and mobility, you’ll get a clear picture of the risk and what you need to do to lower it.

If you don’t know the risk, you can’t manage it.

If you purchase a copy of Fix Back Pain, you can assess your risk of musculoskeletal dysfunction.

    1. Develop and then implement a strategy to get your body back into good shape.

It can involve as little as a daily, 10-minute strength and stretch session with your work colleagues.

On top of that, you need a regular and systematic strength and flexibility training program.

In Fix Back Pain, we’ve got a strength and flexibility training program ready to go. You can also do a flexibility program at home while watching TV – which gradually gets your body back in alignment.

If you don’t have a strength and flexibility training program, there’s an 80% chance that, sooner or later, you’ll succumb to musculoskeletal pain.

If you can’t distinguish between injury and dysfunction, you must cop it sweet. You’re getting weaker and tighter by the month.

Once the pain reaches a crescendo, it’s down the chute into the surgery, over the road to the chemist, and then off to the rehab provider. From there, it’s a seamless journey to the physio for a rub down, crunch, and electric shock.

It’s just more ambulances at the bottom of the cliff.

The result? You’re battling through the pain and feeling miserable, and you’ve got one heck of a bill from all your therapists.

You can end this vicious cycle by purchasing a copy of Fix Back Pain.
